Fried plantain bananas. I only tried to cook them once before, in Canada, and it was a pitiful attempt. But now that I have learned how to cook them properly, now that I know not to treat them like a regular banana, and not serve them with syrup and cinnamon and sugar, I will make them more often. When I cooked them today, my Dominican friends ate every last piece. That was the best compliment I could have asked for.

Yum, fried banana's!! I have not had those in years. There once was a restaurant in East Van that served fried banana's...oh the memories.
Nice tan you are getting..almost as dark as me now :)
MMMM... sounds yummy. We had those in Cuba, so good. You look like you are having the time of your life.
Yep, the bananas are yummy. Some folks here eat them with ketchup! I like them with or without. Salt is a MUST though. And trust me, they DO NOT taste good the next morning as leftovers. You have to eat 'em while they're hot.
And about the tan...don't worry, I still have plenty of time. I'll be darker than you by the time I get back!
;)
